A solitary man…..
This photo stirs a range of emotions in me every time I see it. My stomach sinks in fear for the solitary man, but my heart feels warmth towards the stranger with shopping bags still clutched in his hands. The solitary man decided that on that particular day, enough was enough.
He didn’t shout, attack, harm or murder. His Gandhi like protest pierced through the skin and etched himself on billions of memories around the world. What a pity that the millions his brave, quiet protest was intended for will never be seen.
I don’t know who you were, solitary man. But I wish I could have a conversation with you.
