Frosted Cowboy – Book Review and A Chance to Win A Copy!
Frosted Cowboy is my first review for HCL Book Tours and after getting past my initial preconceptions, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the read!
Frosted Cowboy is a fast paced, witty, topical and fun novel, which follows Laney Delaney, an LA native in her thirties, as she gets back out on the dating scene having caught her fiancé of seven years cheating on her with his assistant.
Laney stumbles into singledom and in no time has suitors, jerks and nice guys on dating rotation. The proseis funny, not cliched and I love that, like myself, she swears like a trooper when she loses it. It’s quick witted without the cheese and I always love a book where the female isn’t a complete sook.
I did have a pre-conception based on the book cover, but don’t let that put you off, I promise you there is no ‘achy-breaky heart in here!’ what’s inside is well worth the read.
Just like a Frosted Cowboy cocktail, it won’t change your life, but it will bring some fun and raise a smile!

The Book Jacket
Laney Delaney was living the dream. She had a fabulous fiancé and a career as a couture wedding dress designer. But after catching her (not-so-fabulous) fiancé cheating and being accused of upstaging one of her brides at a wedding, Laney finds herself with no boyfriend, no job and no plan.
After some serious soul searching, Laney is determined to start over. She embarks on a design career that takes her from a Rodeo Drive boutique to a flea market stall, but it’s worth it—even if it means she has to suck up to her childhood nemesis for help.
At the same time, three very different men vie for her attention: a masseuse/screenwriter with an unfortunate reputation, a stable fireman who just doesn’t spark a romantic flame, and the fireman’s ridiculously hot co-worker whose illicit under-the-mistletoe kiss still burns Laney’s lips.
Professionally and romantically, Laney is on the verge of reinventing her life and finding her true passion—but can she learn to trust again and believe in herself?
Thanks to HCL for the book for honest review.
